DEFINITIONS & SCOPE

Transaction count is the total number of verified purchase transactions under each merchant's descriptor during the window, all channels. TJ Maxx and Marshalls resolve as separate banners regardless of shared ownership. Growth is the percentage change in each merchant's transaction count versus the prior-year Labor Day window.

RESOLUTION METHOD

The merchant with the highest year-over-year transaction count growth rate wins. Resolution requires a minimum of 10,000 qualifying transactions per merchant. In the event of a tie, all positions are refunded in full.

Powered by verified transaction data from American Spend's oracle. Anonymized, aggregated, and secured. Real, objective, verified proof of spend sourced from a representative sample of consumer spending.
