DEFINITIONS & SCOPE
Trips are verified transactions by panel cardholders residing in the New York City metropolitan area. Rideshare resolves on ride transactions under each company's rideshare descriptor, with Uber Eats and other delivery out of scope. Subway resolves on MTA fare transactions for subway and bus, including OMNY taps and MTA fare card sales; LIRR and Metro-North are out of scope. OMNY fare-capped rides post no charge and are not counted. Growth is the percentage change in each side's transaction count versus August.
RESOLUTION METHOD
The side with the higher month-over-month transaction count growth rate wins. Resolution requires a minimum of 10,000 qualifying transactions per side. In the event of a tie, all positions are refunded in full.
